This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Precision Solutions LLC. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than Precisions websites. 

Please note that your use of these Sites constitutes your acceptance of and consent to this Policy. When you sign up to use the Services, you also consent to receive electronic notices and disclosures, as set forth in Section 5 below.

This Policy seeks to answer questions you may have about the Services and Precisions’ information practices. Please contact us if you have other questions.

  1. What information does Precision collect through the Services?

Information Provided Directly To Us

We may collect information that you provide directly through our Services. For example, this may include your name, email address, and other contact details when you access Precision’s content such as whitepapers, videos, webinars, or other materials, or when you request additional information about Precision or our Services. We also collect information you provide through forms on the Services, including when you submit questions or comments.A. Customers

If you want to use the Services to screen applicants (“Customers”), Precision may collect the following information (collectively, the “Customer Information”), including, but not limited to:

  • Account creation information, including your name, email address, and a custom password;
  • Contact information such as address and phone number;
  • Corporate information;
  • Hiring practice information such as employee work location and salary necessary for the application of state and federal consumer reporting laws
  • If you are an employer, employer identification number; and
    Payment information, including credit card and/or bank account information and billing address.
    • Please note: We do not store the credit card or bank account numbers you may use to make payments in the Services. Such information is passed on to our third-party payment processor, Authorize.net. You can review information on their privacy practices at .
  1. Applicants

If you are an applicant who will be the subject of a screening or background check (“Applicants”), Precision may collect the following information (collectively, the “Background Check Information”), including, but not limited to:

  • Account creation information, including your full name, e-mail address, and custom password;
  • Contact information, including phone number and address;
  • Identity verification information, including Social Security Number (or Social Insurance Number) and date of birth; and
  • Additional information or supporting documentation you submit or upload regarding identity, background, evidence of rehabilitation, or a dispute.
    • Examples include an uploaded picture, a driver’s license, or court records.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access or use the Services, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically and may be associated with your user account. This technical and usage information (“Technical Information”) may include, without limitation, data regarding the dates and times you access the Services, the frequency and duration of your use, and server log data such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device type, operating system and version, and the referring webpage from which you accessed the Services.

Technical Information also includes “cookies,” which are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters that are downloaded to your web browser or device when you visit or interact with a website. Similar to many online services, we may utilize both session cookies and persistent cookies in connection with your access to and use of the Services.

Third-party web analytics service providers we engage, such as Google Analytics, may utilize cookies to provide analytics and related services in connection with the Services. A session cookie is temporary and is deleted once you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your device after your browser is closed and may be used during subsequent visits to the Services. Persistent cookies can be deleted or disabled. You should review your web browser’s documentation for instructions on how to modify your cookie settings. For additional information, please refer to Section 7 below.

  1. How does Precision use the collected information?

Precision uses the information it maintains about you (including information you provide, Customer Information, Background Check Information, and Technical Information):

  • For the purposes for which you provided it;
  • To create your account and enable you to use the Services;
  • To verify your identity;
  • To provide the features and functionality of the Services;
  • For customer support and to respond to your inquiries;
  • To respond to and fulfill your requests;
  • With your consent, to contact you by text message regarding your account and certain services or information you have requested;
  • To improve the Services;
  • For internal record-keeping purposes and for legal purposes;
  • To address fraud or safety concerns, or to investigate complaints or suspected fraud or wrongdoing; and
  • To resolve disputes, to protect ourselves and other users, and to enforce any legal terms that govern your use of the Services.

Precision uses the contact information you provide when accessing Precision content available through the Services (such as whitepapers) or when requesting additional information about Precision or its Services, for the purpose of delivering such content and information. Precision Solutions may also use this information to provide you with details about products and services offered by Precision or by our business partners that we believe may be of interest to you. Precision does not use Background Check Information for these purposes. If you prefer not to receive such communications, please refer to Section 7 below.

Precision uses Background Check Information as reasonably necessary to:

  • verify applicant identity;
  • conduct background checks;
  • conduct quality assurance checks;
  • investigate disputes; or
  • provide certain communications, including adverse action notices.

We may use Customer Information to:

  • Contact you regarding your use of the Services;
    • Process billing and payment transactions;
    • Send you product announcements, special offers, or promotional communications from Precision or our business partners, and administer your participation in events, surveys, contests, or sweepstakes; and
    • Send you administrative or service-related communications, including updates, notices, and modifications to the Services.

We may use Customer Information and Technical Information to:

  • personalize the content that you and others see based on personal characteristics or preferences;
  • troubleshoot problems;
  • provide you with required notices, in connection with disputes between you and another user; or
  • alert you to changes in our policies or agreements that may affect your use of the Services.

Precision may also use Technical Information to analyze your use of the Services to help us improve the Services and develop and improve other products and services.

  1. When does Precision share information about you?

We may share the information we collect from and maintain about you as follows:

  •  Employers or Other Customers Requesting Background Reports. We provide background reports— which may include Background Check Information— to the requesting employer or Customer. We may also provide such employers or Customers with related communications concerning the background reports, including, but not limited to, notifications of disputes or updates to previously provided reports. Furnishers and Researchers. We provide Background Check Information to entities that research and furnish data contained in background reports.
  •  Service Providers. We may provide access to your information to certain third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf. These service providers may assist us with, without limitation, conducting components of background checks, billing and payment processing, order fulfillment, data storage, analysis, and processing, identity verification, fraud prevention, accounting, auditing, and legal or compliance services. We require that all such service providers maintain the confidentiality of your information and use it solely for the purposes of providing services to us, in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
  • Affiliates. We may share information with our affiliates for use as described in this Policy.
  •  Legal Requirements. We may use or disclose your information when we, in good faith, believe that such use or disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal processes, including, without limitation, court orders, search warrants, or subpoenas. We may also use or disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Precision, our users, or third parties. Any such disclosures will be made in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
  • De-identified information. We may share de-identified information with third parties, including without limitation: (1) sharing aggregated, de-identified information about our user base and its interests and usage patterns and (2) providing de-identified information to third-party partners for our business arrangements, including without limitation to jointly offer a product or service to you or create interoperability between our products and services and theirs.
  • Consent. We may disclose your information to nonaffiliated third parties based on your consent to do so.
  • Business Transfer. In the event of a merger, sale of capital stock or assets, reorganization, consolidation, or similar transaction involving Precision, or in connection with due diligence or other preparatory steps related to such a transaction, the information we maintain may be transferred as a corporate asset to the acquiring or successor entity. Any such transfer will be subject to confidentiality obligations and applicable data protection and privacy laws to ensure continued protection of your information.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics for purposes of analyzing usage of the Services. You can find more information about Google privacy practices here. here.

Note that Precision will not provide your personally identifiable information to third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

  1. How can you access, change or delete information about you?

Applicants are encouraged to promptly update their contact information if it changes or is inaccurate. Applicants may review, access, and update certain account information, including email address, phone number, and mailing address, through the applicant portal available on the Services. Requests to update other information, such as Social Security Information, may require verification before the requested change is accepted. Applicants may also request the deletion of certain information maintained by Precision by contacting us as set forth at the end of this Policy. Applicants may dispute the accuracy of background check reports by completing the following dispute form and submitting it, along with any required documentation, to the address provided on the form.

Once a Customer, such as an employer, has received a background check report, Precision does not control the Customer’s retention or use of that information. However, Customers are expected to comply with all applicable data protection, privacy, and confidentiality obligations in connection with such information.

It is Precision’s policy to retain personally identifiable information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services or as otherwise required to comply with applicable legal obligations. For example, Precision may retain information, including information from closed accounts, to comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations involving any user, enforce our Terms of Use, or for any other purposes permitted by law, as determined at Precision’s sole discretion. All retained information will continue to be protected in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

  1. Will you receive notices and disclosures electronically?

Yes. The Services are offered through Precisions’ website and mobile site. To access the Services, you must create an online account and satisfy the following requirements: (1) have access to a computer or other device capable of connecting to the Internet; (2) maintain an active email account; and (3) consent to Precision’s use of its websites and electronic communications to provide any written information that may be required in connection with the Services, your account, and any background checks or reports.

Your Consent to Electronic Disclosures

By creating an account and/or authorizing a background check, you acknowledge and agree:

  • you can access and read information we post on our website;
  • to provide an email address that is active and effective for receiving emails from us;
  • to receive electronically on our website or via email the notices and disclosures, required by law related to your account and the Services; and

Scope of Communications to Be Provided in Electronic Form

By consenting to receive electronic communications and transactions, you agree that Precision may provide all notices, disclosures, and other communications to you in electronic form. This includes, without limitation, all legal and regulatory notices, communications related to your account or use of the Services, requests for background checks, and any products or services that Precision has agreed to provide you (each, a “Communication”).

Method of Providing Communications to You in Electronic Form

All Communications provided to you in electronic form may be delivered through one or more of the following methods: (1) via email, telephone, or text message; (2) by making the Communication available online through your account portal; or (3) by requesting that you download a PDF file containing the Communication.

How to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw your consent to receive Communications in electronic form at any time. To receive Communications in paper form, please contact us at the following address: 6841 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, TX 75071. Your request should specify the information you wish to receive in paper form and indicate that you are requesting copies of the applicable disclosures, notices, or other Communications. Please include your full name and mailing address. Your request will apply only to the specific items you designate. Precision will not impose any fee for processing your withdrawal of consent. Any withdrawal of consent will become effective only after Precision has had a reasonable period of time to process your request.

How to Update Your Records

You are responsible for providing Precision with true, accurate, and complete email, contact, and other information related to your account, and for promptly maintaining and updating any changes to such information. You may update your information, including your email address, through your account portal or by contacting us via email at [email protected]. If you provide an incorrect email address or fail to update or correct your email address, any electronic Communication sent to the email address on record will be deemed delivered and received by you.

Required Equipment

To access and use the Services and to view or retain a copy of this Policy or certain Communications, you must have a computer or device equipped with: (1) a web browser supporting at least 128-bit encryption; (2) a current version of software capable of opening and displaying PDF files (e.g., Adobe Acrobat); and (3) either a printer or other electronic storage device.

Retaining Copies of the Communications

To retain a copy of any Communication provided to you electronically, you may: (1) download an electronic copy to your computer or other storage device (e.g., disk or USB storage device); (2) request a copy via email; or (3) print copies using a printer connected to your computer. No fee will be charged for obtaining a copy by download or email.

  1. Does this Policy apply to third parties?

No. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked from the Services. Any information you provide to, or that is collected by, such third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of use. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party websites or services before interacting with them.

  1. What are your choices regarding online tracking, analytics and certain email communications from Precision?
  • Online Tracking and Cookies. Like many websites, the Services do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser headers. You may limit tracking by deleting cookies from your device or configuring your browser to block or warn you before cookies are stored. Please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from fully utilizing the Services, as some features may not function properly without cookies.
  • Analytics. To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here. here.
  • Promotional Emails. Subject to applicable law, Precision may send periodic promotional or informational emails. You may opt out of receiving such communications by replying with the words “Opt Out” or “Remove.” Please allow up to ten (10) business days for processing your opt-out request. Even if you opt out of promotional emails, Precision may continue to send you communications regarding your account or Services you have requested or received.
  1. How does Precision protect your information?

Precision implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security of information maintained about you. These measures may include encryption, password protection, and other security controls to help prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or use of your information. However, no security measures are completely effective, and Precision cannot guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, or used by unauthorized parties. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and devices, including by signing off after using shared computers, selecting strong passwords that are not easily guessed, keeping your login information confidential, and avoiding the reuse of passwords from other accounts. Precision is not responsible for unauthorized use of your information, lost or compromised passwords, or any activity on your account resulting from unauthorized access. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRECISION DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SECURITY OR ABSOLUTE PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION OR TECHNICAL INFORMATION.

  1. Where is your information processed or stored?

Precision stores and processes information on servers located in the United States. Precision may also engage partners or affiliates located outside the United States for storage or processing of information. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your own, including countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

  1. Who can use the Services?

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use the Services. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of thirteen (13) has provided personally identifiable information through the Services, please contact us using the information provided below. If Precision becomes aware that an individual under thirteen (13) has provided personally identifiable information, we will take steps to delete the account and such information in accordance with applicable law.

CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights regarding their personal information:

  1. The right to request that Precision disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information it has collected about you.
  2. The right to request that Precision delete any personal information it has collected about you, subject to applicable exceptions under the law.
  3. The right to request that Precision not sell your personal information.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. Precision will respond to your request within thirty (30) days of receipt, in accordance with applicable law.

Precision does not share your personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes without your consent. We do not share personally identifiable information (PII) with any company located outside the United States. All domestic background checks are conducted by Precision, through our offices in Florida and Texas, and are supported solely by U.S.-based suppliers.

Additional Information for Canadian Users

This Policy applies to customers, users, and applicants located in both Canada and the United States. To the extent that any provision of this Policy is inconsistent with applicable Canadian laws, Precision will comply with the relevant Canadian legal requirements for customers, users, and applicants in Canada.

For example, Precision will only send commercial electronic messages to individuals located in Canada with their explicit, opt-in consent, unless otherwise permitted under applicable Canadian legislation.

Applicants located in Canada should be aware that the Services may involve the collection of sensitive personal information, including, without limitation, consumer reports, criminal records, driving records, and education and employment records, from third parties such as consumer reporting agencies, police services, and government agencies (e.g., provincial transportation ministries). All such information will be collected and processed in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Precision may share Applicants’ personal information with third-party service providers located in Canada for the purpose of completing or facilitating background checks as described in this Policy.

As noted in Section 9 above, personal information collected in connection with the Services may also be transferred outside of Canada. Consequently, such information may be accessible to law enforcement or national security authorities in the jurisdiction(s) where it is stored or processed.

Canadian customers, users, and applicants will be notified of any material changes to this Policy that would result in the use or disclosure of their personal information by Precision in a manner not contemplated by this Policy or not reasonably expected by the individual.

GDPR Data Subject Rights

Precision is committed to ensuring that all users are aware of their data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users are entitled to the following rights:

  1. Right of Access. You have the right to request access to and obtain copies of your personal data. Precision may charge a reasonable fee where permitted by law for providing copies of your information.
  2. Right to Rectification. You have the right to request that Precision correct any personal data that you believe is inaccurate or incomplete, and to request that incomplete information be completed.
  3. Right to Erasure. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable conditions and legal exceptions.
  4. Right to Restrict Processing. You have the right to request that Precision restrict the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances permitted by law.
  5. Right to Object to Processing. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data under applicable conditions.
  6. Right to Data Portability. You have the right to request that Precision transfer the personal data we have collected either directly to you or to another organization, where technically feasible and permitted by law.

Precision, as a Consumer Reporting Agency regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) in the United States, is subject to extensive regulation regarding the collection, management, and retention of personal information. Accordingly, Precision is well-positioned to comply with GDPR requirements, including responding to data subject rights requests.

In particular:

  • Right of Access. Candidates are provided with copies of their background check reports.
  • Right to Rectification. A dispute process is available for candidates to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Restrict or Object to Processing. Candidates may revoke their consent for background checks, which provides a mechanism to restrict or object to processing.
  • Right to Data Portability. Reports are made available to candidates in electronic format for ease of portability.

Certain information may be exempt from such requests where continued processing is necessary to pursue Precision’s legitimate interests or to comply with legal obligations. Precision may request information necessary to confirm your identity before responding to a rights request.

To exercise any GDPR rights, you may refer to Sections 4, 5, and 7 of this Policy, or contact us as described in the “How Can I Contact You With More Questions?” section above. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority; however, we encourage you to contact Precision first so that we may attempt to resolve your concern.

As noted above, Precision uses servers located in the United States and may engage partners or affiliates outside the U.S. to store or process your information. By providing your information to Precision, you acknowledge and consent to any such transfer, storage, or processing. Precision will implement appropriate measures to ensure that any non-EU third-party processors adequately protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Children’s Information

Protecting children’s privacy online is a priority for Precision. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their children’s online activities.

Precision does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you believe that your child has provided such information through the Services, please contact us immediately. Precision will take prompt and reasonable steps to remove such information from our records in accordance with applicable law.
